As discussed in "Understand 'Eye Spacing' & Makeup Tips For More Attractive Eyes," knowing your eye shape can help bring out certain key features, increasing an overall seamless and more attractive look. They're approximately six popular eye shapes across the globe.

• Hooded Eyes: Hooded eyes are eyes that are folded and hidden by the eyelid when the eyes are open. The term "hooded" is used to describe the extra layer of skin over the crease, creating a hood-like cover over the lid.

• Droopy Eyes: Also known as, "Puppy Eyes" or "Downturned Eyes." The eyes have a slight dropping on the outer corners of each eye.

• Deep Set Eyes: The eyes are placed further back into the skull, creating an illusion of a more prominent brow bone. Therefore, the eyelids are implanted deeper into the head compared to other eye shapes.

• Monolid/Asian Eyes: Also know as "Flat Eyes," because the eye area appears to be completely flat and has little to no crease area.

• Round Eyes: Round Eyes appear to be the largest, however, that's not always the case. Normally, you can distinguish that you have this eye shape if you can see the white around your iris. The width and height around both eyes are nearly the same.

• Almond Eyes: Unlike round eyes, if your iris disappears under your lid then you have almond-shaped eyes. There will be no visible distinction of white above and/or below your iris.
